Fiberboard

Fiberboard is a type of engineered wood product constricted from wood fibers. Types of fiberboard include low-density fiberboard (LDF), medium-density fiberboard (MDF), and hardboard (high-density fiberboard, HDF). The stiffness of this material provides utility in products where objects are required to hold shape or just need a little extra support. Fiberboard also has sound deadening properties for use in a variety of applications.
